This year 5-5 on the Chinese calander was 3-29. Some people would equate that to 3-11 which equates to 2, which could be written as II. So 5-5 => V-II

This year 7-7 on the Chinese calander was 6-2. Which could also be written as VI-II

8-8 will be 7-4. Could that be rewritten as just 11 which becomes 2 or II

11-11 this year is 10-10 on the Chinese calander. That certainly seems to be a rather significant date no matter how you look at it.
